The 2023/2024 Competition Results in Full

The annual friendly game between Partick CC and Bearsden CC took place yesterday afternoon. The Partick Rink was skipped by David Scott and our Bearsden Rink was skipped by Geraldine. An enjoyable and friendly game was played out with Skip Geraldine ably taking the Bearsden Rink to successfully winning the game.

Skip Joan has been leading the charge in this particular competition with success. On 11 October Joan, Geraldine and Hazel were joined by Charlotte Tierney who kindly agreed to fill a gap in our team, Together they had a 10 – 2 win against a team skipped by Libby Torrance. Bearsden members are out and about at the start of the curling season.  John Dunlop in the Irish Curling Association’s first game of the new season at Greenacres Ice Rink. John was in the winning rink with team mates Maria O’Neill, Charlotte Tierney and skip Neil Fyfe.

Simon is this weekend umpiring at the prestigious Scottish Curling Mixed Doubles Championship being held at the Dewars Centre, Perth over 22 – 25 January.   This Championship is a Scotland wide competition with 15 couples teams.   The rinks playing include several previous National and World Champions including the familiar names of Dodds/Mouat, Aitken/Hardie, McMillan/Craik…
