Simon is this weekend umpiring at the prestigious Scottish Curling Mixed Doubles Championship being held at the Dewars Centre, Perth over 22 – 25 January.   This Championship is a Scotland wide competition with 15 couples teams.   The rinks playing include several previous National and World Champions including the familiar names of Dodds/Mouat, Aitken/Hardie, McMillan/Craik…

The annual friendly game between Partick CC and Bearsden CC took place yesterday afternoon. The Partick Rink was skipped by David Scott and our Bearsden Rink was skipped by Geraldine. An enjoyable and friendly game was played out with Skip Geraldine ably taking the Bearsden Rink to successfully winning the game.

Congratulations to Alison Barr who this weekend won a silver medal playing for Team McIntyre in the Scottish Curling Masters Championships. The first round game against Cadder took place on Tuesday 9 January.  Despite winning six out of the eight ends played, Bearsden came second in the 10 – 8 game.  Sounds like a good effort by our team. Thanks to Simon, Peter, John and Alan for representing us.
