Progress in Province Competitions

The annual friendly game between Partick CC and Bearsden CC took place yesterday afternoon. The Partick Rink was skipped by David Scott and our Bearsden Rink was skipped by Geraldine. An enjoyable and friendly game was played out with Skip Geraldine ably taking the Bearsden Rink to successfully winning the game.

President Ross Barr donned his Irish team shirt at the weekend to play in the Kinross International Friendly Bonspiel.  Celtic Connections was established by mixing two Welsh Seniors with two Irish Seniors. Simon, Ross and Alison competed in the National Masters Championships for curlers over 60.  This was held over 1 – 4 February at Greenacres Curling Club.  The Masters Championship is a Scotland wide competition with teams competing from 14 different Scottish rinks from Aberdeen to Stranraer.  The rinks playing included several previous National and World…

Bearsden Curling Club along with our Sister Club the Ski Club Curling Club will be holding our annual Ladies V Gents match on Saturday 18th Feb at 15:00, this will be followed by a two course meal. This event has always been extremely popular and well supported and I hope this will continue this year….

Sunday 17 March saw 24 curlers from the above clubs venture onto the ice at Greenacres to challenge their skills in specific shots.
