Kinross International Friendly Bonspiel

President Ross Barr donned his Irish team shirt at the weekend to play in the Kinross International Friendly Bonspiel.  Celtic Connections was established by mixing two Welsh Seniors with two Irish Seniors. This partnership was formed through friendships established at recent World Championships.

Other teams playing at this Bonspiel came from USA, Poland, Canada, Denmark, Lithuania, England, Wales and of course, Scotland. Would you believe it, from the 16 teams involved the home nations came up trumps, with the Irish Men’s team winning the impressive wooden curling stone trophy and Celtic Connections finishing as Runners Up.

The aim of the Bonspiel was “If you go home after this weekend having made new friends, enjoyed your curling, been well fed and watered, having seen a little of this beautiful area of Scotland, then we have achieved our aim”

Aim achieved!
