Bearsden members, Campbell Denholm and Valerie Browning had a very successful Bonspiel at the North West Castle Hotel in Stranraer during the first week in October.
They were both attending the Wengen Curling Club Reunion Bonspiel. Sixteen rinks competed for various trophies.
As can be seen from the photos, both Valerie and Campbell featured in winning rinks.

Congratulations to Alison Barr who this weekend won a silver medal playing for Team McIntyre in the Scottish Curling Masters Championships. This competition is played on a knock-out basis by one rink per club. This year the participating clubs are Nondes, Bearsden, Cawder House, Cadder, Greenacres and Helensburgh with the first games being played on Tuesday 9 January. Simon, Peter, Alan and John are representing Bearsden and we wish them good curling in their game tonight.
On Tuesday night we had a very close first five ends in our game against Bearsden Ski Club. However, inthe last two ends we managed to come to the fore finishing with a 10 – 5 win. Well done Ross, Simon, Alan and Alison. Keep going strong!!
Bearsden members are out and about at the start of the curling season. John Dunlop in the Irish Curling Association’s first game of the new season at Greenacres Ice Rink. John was in the winning rink with team mates Maria O’Neill, Charlotte Tierney and skip Neil Fyfe.
