This competition is played on a knock-out basis by one rink per club. This year the participating clubs are Nondes, Bearsden, Cawder House, Cadder, Greenacres and Helensburgh with the first games being played on Tuesday 9 January. Simon, Peter, Alan and John are representing Bearsden and we wish them good curling in their game tonight.
Ross Barr was presented with the Carmunnock and Rutherglen Curling Club Gold Medal on Tuesday at Greenacres. This was presented by President Brian Hudson. This was last awarded In 2017. Well done Ross!
Simon is this weekend umpiring at the prestigious Scottish Curling Mixed Doubles Championship being held at the Dewars Centre, Perth over 22 – 25 January. This was a keenly fought competition between the Ladies and Gents of Bearsden Curling Club. Due to the shortage of female members in the club some of our gents very kindly assisted in the Ladies Team. Surprisingly, for the second year running, the Gents came out on top!
