Well done to our rinks who played the earlier games in the Allan Cup which resulted in Bearsden proceeding to the semi-fInals. The semi-finals are being played this Wednesday 4 December at 8:30pm with Dumbarton -v- Bearsden and Kelvinside -v- Alma. Good curling to our rink of Simon, Eilidh, Alan and Stefan.
A closely contested Final took place on Monday 25 March between Rink D (Gerry McCormack) and Rink A (Joan MacVoy) . The Final was won by Rink A and Runners Up were Rink D RINK A – Rink Medal Winners Runners Up
This year the National Gateway Club Challenge was held in Edinburgh Curling Rink on Saturday 23 March. Sixteen teams from all over Scotland travelled to Edinburgh to participate, ranging from the Borders Ice Rink to Moray and Inverness Rinks. On Tuesday night we had a very close first five ends in our game against Bearsden Ski Club. However, inthe last two ends we managed to come to the fore finishing with a 10 – 5 win. Well done Ross, Simon, Alan and Alison. Keep going strong!!
Congratulations to John Dunlop who was one of the Bearsden Curlers who participated in the Invitational Partick Points Competition held on Thursday 7 December at Greenacres. John came third in this competition and won a bottle of wine for his Christmas celebrations. Well done John.
