Bearsden Curling Club along with our Sister Club the Ski Club Curling Club will be holding our annual Ladies V Gents match on Saturday 18th Feb at 15:00, this will be followed by a two course meal. President Ross Barr donned his Irish team shirt at the weekend to play in the Kinross International Friendly Bonspiel.  Celtic Connections was established by mixing two Welsh Seniors with two Irish Seniors. This competition is played on a knock-out basis by one rink per club. This year the participating clubs are Nondes, Bearsden, Cawder House, Cadder, Greenacres and Helensburgh with the first games being played on Tuesday 9 January. Simon, Peter, Alan and John are representing Bearsden and we wish them good curling in their game tonight.

The first round game against Cadder took place on Tuesday 9 January.  Despite winning six out of the eight ends played, Bearsden came second in the 10 – 8 game.  Sounds like a good effort by our team. Thanks to Simon, Peter, John and Alan for representing us.

Geraldine’s 2024 curling season got off to a good start when she was playing with Glasgow Ladies in their Bonspiel on Thursday 4 January at Greenacres.
