Cuthbert Cup Runners-Up 2025

Great to see our club members out and about playing in Bonspiels and Championships with other Clubs:- The National Gateway Bonspiel was held in Stranraer on 22/23 March where two of our Bearsden curlers were playing – Eli and Stefan, supported by Emily.   There were teams from Inverness, Stirling, Fife, Moray, Edinburgh and Glasgow….

The annual competition took place on Saturday the 21st February. In the words of our President Eilidh as we approached the end opf the 8th end, “I think I know who’s won!”. Bearsden played against Dumbarton in a close game on Wednesday 29 November in the round robin. The game concluded with a 7-6 win to Bearsden. Now through to the semi-finals on Wednesday 13 December brings us up against the skill of Kelvinside. Ross, Simon, Alan and Alison – we will give it our best! 

Well done to our rinks who played the earlier games in the Allan Cup which resulted in Bearsden proceeding to the semi-fInals. The semi-finals are being played this Wednesday 4 December at 8:30pm with Dumbarton -v- Bearsden and Kelvinside -v- Alma. Good curling to our rink of Simon, Eilidh, Alan and Stefan.
