Bearsden Curling Club AGM Reminder

Bearsden CC participated in the first Dunbartonshire Province competition of the season, the Cuthbert Cup, on Saturday 14th October. The competition is played between eight clubs with two teams from each club; one team playing at 12:30 and one at 16:00. The first round game against Cadder took place on Tuesday 9 January. Despite winning six out of the eight ends played, Bearsden came second in the 10 – 8 game. Sounds like a good effort by our team. Thanks to Simon, Peter, John and Alan for representing us.
Sunday 17 March saw 24 curlers from the above clubs venture onto the ice at Greenacres to challenge their skills in specific shots. Well done to our rinks who played the earlier games in the Allan Cup which resulted in Bearsden proceeding to the semi-fInals. The semi-finals are being played this Wednesday 4 December at 8:30pm with Dumbarton -v- Bearsden and Kelvinside -v- Alma. Good curling to our rink of Simon, Eilidh, Alan and Stefan.
The past two weekends have seen our member, Simon Blyth, busy umpiring in two Scottish Curling competitions.
