This year the National Gateway Club Challenge was held in Edinburgh Curling Rink on Saturday 23 March. Sixteen teams from all over Scotland travelled to Edinburgh to participate, ranging from the Borders Ice Rink to Moray and Inverness Rinks. This was a keenly fought competition between the Ladies and Gents of Bearsden Curling Club. Due to the shortage of female members in the club some of our gents very kindly assisted in the Ladies Team. Surprisingly, for the second year running, the Gents came out on top! Saturday 11 March saw two rinks from Bearsden Curling Club travel to Perth Curling Rink to participate in the Annual 1911 Centenary Club Bonspiel. This Bonspiel is held between four clubs who were all founded in 1911 and celebrated their 100th Anniversary in 2011, when it was agreed to hold the Annual Bonspiel. The clubs…
