Two of our annual competitions finals are being played in March between the following rinks. Firth Medal – 22 March –  Rink A (Joan MacVoy) v Rink C (Geraldine Murphy) Rink Medal – 25 March – Rink D (Gerry McCormak) v Rink A (Joan MacVoy)

Simon is this weekend umpiring at the prestigious Scottish Curling Mixed Doubles Championship being held at the Dewars Centre, Perth over 22 – 25 January.   This Championship is a Scotland wide competition with 15 couples teams.   The rinks playing include several previous National and World Champions including the familiar names of Dodds/Mouat, Aitken/Hardie, McMillan/Craik…

This was a keenly fought competition between the Ladies and Gents of Bearsden Curling Club.  Due to the shortage of female members in the club some of our gents very kindly assisted in the Ladies Team.  Surprisingly, for the second year running, the Gents came out on top!  Apparently by a 6 point lead…… though…

Simon, Ross and Alison competed in the National Masters Championships for curlers over 60.  This was held over 1 – 4 February at Greenacres Curling Club.  The Masters Championship is a Scotland wide competition with teams competing from 14 different Scottish rinks from Aberdeen to Stranraer.  The rinks playing included several previous National and World…

Update and Reminder The big derby is now just over two weeks away; Ladies v Gents. Saturday 17th February 2024 at 3pm. Rinks will be made up comprising all ladies rinks versus all gents rinks.
