Getting near the endof season

Bearsden played against Dumbarton in a close game on Wednesday 29 November in the round robin. The game concluded with a 7-6 win to Bearsden. Now through to the semi-finals on Wednesday 13 December brings us up against the skill of Kelvinside. Ross, Simon, Alan and Alison – we will give it our best! 

Bearsden members, Campbell Denholm and Valerie Browning had a very successful Bonspiel at the North West Castle Hotel in Stranraer during the first week in October. President Ross Barr donned his Irish team shirt at the weekend to play in the Kinross International Friendly Bonspiel.  Celtic Connections was established by mixing two Welsh Seniors with two Irish Seniors. This was a keenly fought competition between the Ladies and Gents of Bearsden Curling Club.  Due to the shortage of female members in the club some of our gents very kindly assisted in the Ladies Team.  Surprisingly, for the second year running, the Gents came out on top!  Apparently by a 6 point lead…… though…

Ross Barr was presented with the Carmunnock and Rutherglen Curling Club Gold Medal on Tuesday at Greenacres.  This was presented by President Brian Hudson.  This was last awarded In 2017. Well done Ross!
