Getting near the endof season

On Sunday 12th November, Bearsden CC and Crossmyloof CC played our annual match for the McKenzie Cup at Hamilton Ice Rink. This competition is played on a knock-out basis by one rink per club. This year the participating clubs are Nondes, Bearsden, Cawder House, Cadder, Greenacres and Helensburgh with the first games being played on Tuesday 9 January. Simon, Peter, Alan and John are representing Bearsden and we wish them good curling in their game tonight.

Arrangements are in place to organise Rinks for the forthcoming season. Rink Team Sheets are being prepared and members will be asked to confirm availability for the dates allocated to us. On Tuesday night we had a very close first five ends in our game against Bearsden Ski Club. However, inthe last two ends we managed to come to the fore finishing with a 10 – 5 win. Well done Ross, Simon, Alan and Alison.  Keep going strong!!

Saturday 11 March saw two rinks from Bearsden Curling Club travel to Perth Curling Rink to participate in the Annual 1911 Centenary Club Bonspiel.
