The first round game against Cadder took place on Tuesday 9 January.  Despite winning six out of the eight ends played, Bearsden came second in the 10 – 8 game.  Sounds like a good effort by our team. Thanks to Simon, Peter, John and Alan for representing us.

The Closing Bonspiel of the RCCC Ladies Branch Glasgow was held at Greenacres Curling Club on Wednesday 22 March. This competition is played on a knock-out basis by one rink per club. This year the participating clubs are Nondes, Bearsden, Cawder House, Cadder, Greenacres and Helensburgh with the first games being played on Tuesday 9 January. Simon, Peter, Alan and John are representing Bearsden and we wish them good curling in their game tonight.

The past two weekends have seen our member, Simon Blyth, busy umpiring in two Scottish Curling competitions. The first being the Asham U17 Slam held at Hamilton Ice rink where Simon advised that he was very impressed by the standard of curling played by these youngsters, with some 14 year olds playing incredibly well.  Twenty…
