This was a keenly fought competition between the Ladies and Gents of Bearsden Curling Club. Due to the shortage of female members in the club some of our gents very kindly assisted in the Ladies Team. Surprisingly, for the second year running, the Gents came out on top! On Tuesday night we had a very close first five ends in our game against Bearsden Ski Club. However, inthe last two ends we managed to come to the fore finishing with a 10 – 5 win. Well done Ross, Simon, Alan and Alison. Keep going strong!!
Skip Joan has been leading the charge in this particular competition with success. Well done to our rinks who played the earlier games in the Allan Cup which resulted in Bearsden proceeding to the semi-fInals. The semi-finals are being played this Wednesday 4 December at 8:30pm with Dumbarton -v- Bearsden and Kelvinside -v- Alma. Good curling to our rink of Simon, Eilidh, Alan and Stefan.
The past two weekends have seen our member, Simon Blyth, busy umpiring in two Scottish Curling competitions.
