This was a keenly fought competition between the Ladies and Gents of Bearsden Curling Club.  Due to the shortage of female members in the club some of our gents very kindly assisted in the Ladies Team.  Surprisingly, for the second year running, the Gents came out on top!  Apparently by a 6 point lead…… though…

Great to see our club members out and about playing in Bonspiels and Championships with other Clubs:- The National Gateway Bonspiel was held in Stranraer on 22/23 March where two of our Bearsden curlers were playing – Eli and Stefan, supported by Emily.   There were teams from Inverness, Stirling, Fife, Moray, Edinburgh and Glasgow….

Skip Joan has been leading the charge in this particular competition with success. On 11 October Joan, Geraldine and Hazel were joined by Charlotte Tierney who kindly agreed to fill a gap in our team, Together they had a 10 – 2 win against a team skipped by Libby Torrance. This year the National Gateway Club Challenge was held in Edinburgh Curling Rink on Saturday 23 March.    Sixteen teams from all over Scotland travelled to Edinburgh to participate, ranging from the Borders Ice Rink to Moray and Inverness Rinks.  Glasgow Gateway based at Greenacres fielded two teams,  Bearsden member, Emily played in Glasgow Gateway…
