Rink Medal Final 2024

The first round game against Cadder took place on Tuesday 9 January.  Despite winning six out of the eight ends played, Bearsden came second in the 10 – 8 game.  Sounds like a good effort by our team. Thanks to Simon, Peter, John and Alan for representing us.

Congratulations to Peter Drummond who was not only the Bearsden CC Points winner but the overall winner between the three clubs of Partick, Bearsden Ski and Bearsden CC. Bearsden members, Campbell Denholm and Valerie Browning had a very successful Bonspiel at the North West Castle Hotel in Stranraer during the first week in October. This was a keenly fought competition between the Ladies and Gents of Bearsden Curling Club.  Due to the shortage of female members in the club some of our gents very kindly assisted in the Ladies Team.  Surprisingly, for the second year running, the Gents came out on top!  Apparently by a 6 point lead…… though…

President Ross Barr donned his Irish team shirt at the weekend to play in the Kinross International Friendly Bonspiel.  Celtic Connections was established by mixing two Welsh Seniors with two Irish Seniors.
