McKenzie Cup 2023
On Sunday 12th November, Bearsden CC and Crossmyloof CC played our annual match for the McKenzie Cup at Hamilton Ice Rink. The Bearsden team of Ian MacVoy (skip), Joan MacVoy, Stuart Scott and John Dunlop started well and were 5 – 2 ahead after the fourth end. However the Crossmyloof team of Aileen Neilson (skip), Rosie Andrews, Jeremy Andrews and Marian Quinn came back strongly with a four at the fifth end and took the remaining ends for an 11 – 5 victory. So once again the McKenzie Cup eluded our grasp but it was still an enjoyable afternoon’s curling.
