This competition is played on a knock-out basis by one rink per club. This year the participating clubs are Nondes, Bearsden, Cawder House, Cadder, Greenacres and Helensburgh with the first games being played on Tuesday 9 January. Simon, Peter, Alan and John are representing Bearsden and we wish them good curling in their game tonight.
This was a keenly fought competition between the Ladies and Gents of Bearsden Curling Club. Due to the shortage of female members in the club some of our gents very kindly assisted in the Ladies Team. Surprisingly, for the second year running, the Gents came out on top! Our Bearsden ladies, on this occasion, Joan, Geraldine, Ann and Alison, put up a valiant fight in their semi-final against a strong Glasgow Ladies rink.
